Cooking and Care Instructions

Keep Refrigerated or Frozen. Refrigerated this product will last 7 days. Frozen this product will last 3 months.

Remove the plastic lid and either microwave until the internal temperature reaches 160°.

If baking in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350°. Remove the plastic lid and either place the bake safe pan provided in the oven on a cooking sheet or remove the contents and place in an oven safe pan. Cook until the internal temperature reaches 160°.

So That's What It's Called!

I've made my own version of Amish Roast for 40 years, but I'd never had the "real thing" until now. Savory, buttery, comforting. Lots of meat. Better than mine.

Simply simple delicious roast!

The flavors in this dish go perfectly with mashed potatoes, gravy and veg. I put the roast into a casserole fish, adding some extra rotisserie chicken and a little chicken broth to keep it tender while heating in the oven! Its a Sunday dinner without doing all the work!!

So disappointed

While growing up in Baltimore with PA Dutch father from Reading, we made many trips to Lancaster and Reading so ate alot of Amish foods. I was expecting this to be at least similar to the bread filling that I was used to. It just tastes like butter soaked bread. Very rich. Where's the celery and chicken?

More details please

Let me start by saying that the Homemade Amish Roast is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! It was VERY tasty and well seasoned!

However, to say I was disappointed in the quantity that I received would be a gross understatement. The cost of the roast was $15.99, and I bought 2 of them. The description gave no details about the quantity whatsoever, but I assumed(big mistake) that it would be enough for a family gathering. I mean, let's be real, for $15.99 I expected a reasonable amount.

Well, what I received was a rectangular container that measured 8 1/2" long, 6 1/2" wide, and 1 1/2" deep. I weighed it in the container and it weighed in at a whopping 12.8 oz. I didn't even get a pound of product for $15.99.

I actually bought 2 of them so that I could freeze one for later. So, almost $32 later, I got less than 2 lbs of product. SMH! Get me once, shame on you!!

PLEASE, list more details so that the consumer knows how much they are purchasing.
