Pie was good, but too much topping. The filling tasted more like pecan pie filling and not molasses.

It been so long since I had shoofly pie - a real blast of nostalgia. Not as “wet” as my mom’s pies from my childhood, but the taste was true enough to trigger many pleasant memories.

Not great

I grew up in PA and have had a lot of shoefly pies. I have even made them in the past. I'm used to the molasses being really gooey. This pie was 90% topping and the "gooey" part wasn't gooey at all, just a thin layer of hard syrup.
